Lucinda Williams

Time Magazine calls her, “America’s Best Songwriter.” Working at the intersection of rock, folk, blues and country, Lucinda Williams is a 10-time Grammy nominee with 3 awards: Best Female Rock Vocal Performance 2001 for “Get Right with God,” Best Contemporary Folk Album 1998 for Car Wheels On A Gravel Road, and Best Country Song 1993 for “Passionate Kisses.” Since her 1998 breakthrough, all 6 of her releases have reached the Top 100. She is a favorite of other artists. Her songs have been recorded by Tom Petty (“Changed the Locks”), Emmylou Harris (“Sweet Old World”), John Mellencamp (“Lafayette”) and Mary Chapin Carpenter (“Passionate Kisses), and featured in soundtracks like The Horse Whisperer (“Still I Long for Your Kiss”), True Blood (“Lake Charles”), The L Word (“Those Three Days”), and The Sopranos (“Are You Alright?”). Her new release, Blessed, was released on March 1st.
