Here come The Mummies at Horseshoe Casino

Posted in Entertainment by sceneandheardblog on February 21, 2011

Here Come The Mummies

Here Come the Mummies the Funk/R&B band, best known for their live performances, visited Horseshoe Casino IN.

The Mummies show, began with a grand entrance,  a drum line, marching in and around the crowd and on to the stage. The band had the audience in full frenzy from the beginning of their show. The funky band band consists of various professional musicians based in Nashville, Tenn. There are rumored to be several Grammy awards among the members, though this is difficult to verify, as identities are kept private. They are believed to be under contract to various record labels, hiding their identities so as to prevent contract disputes while performing.

A band blessed with great vocals, and features talented musicians including  a great horn section, and percussion.  Each song spotlighted the incredible abilities of  individual band members  playing many crowd favorites. Along with the powerful music, the band includes several humorous moments such as the cowbelt on “Funky Little Baby” , flag waving and a visit from a helmeted  superhero.

This band knows how to throw a party. They have a loyal fan base that comes prepared to participate, dance, sing and get funky. The Mummies provided an entertaining and groove filled performance played with perfection.  If you haven’t seen this band perform, I have provided a link for your enjoyment. Videos for here come the mummies
