The Hangout Music Fest has announced the third headliner for its highly anticipated 2013 lineup: legendary singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and 22-time Grammy winner
Stevie Wonder. Also newly added to the festival are
Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Imagine Dragons, Afrojack, Big Gigantic, Holy Ghost!, Baauer, Ra Ra Riot, and
The Wild Feathers. Scheduled for
May 17, 18 and
19, 2013 —just miles from the Florida border on the sugar-white sand beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama— the festival will also feature previously announced main stage headliners Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Kings of Leon.
MTV, VH1 and CMT will be bringing Hangout to a national audience by livestreaming from the festival. Additionally, its various news and editorial organizations including MTV News, VH1 News and CMT News, will provide fans at home with unmatched on-stage and backstage access to their favorite stars, up-to-the-minute festival news, as well as on-the-ground reporting highlighting the fashions, personalities, breakout moments and unexpected events that define the spirit of the festival.

The festival’s music performances will take place across five stages — including two located just steps from the Gulf of Mexico. ABOUT THE HANGOUT MUSIC FEST:
The inaugural Hangout Music Fest was launched on May 14-16, 2010, and featured performances from Trey Anastasio, The Zac Brown Band, John Legend, The Roots, Ben Harper and Relentless7, The Black Crowes, Alison Kraus and Union Station, and more. The second Fest, which hosted a crowd of 35,000 concertgoers per day, took place on May 20–22, 2011, with performances from Foo Fighters, Paul Simon, The Flaming Lips, Cee-Lo Green and The Black Keys, among many others. The 2011 event was estimated to have generated approximately $30 million for the Gulf Shores area economy, and was later awarded “Music Festival of the Year” honors at the 23rd Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. The third annual edition occurred on May 17-19, 2012, and featured a diverse lineup including Jack White, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews Band, Skrillex, The String Cheese Incident, The Flaming Lips and many more.
