Louisville, KY – Atlantic recording artist Christina Perri has announced details of her eagerly awaited new album. “HEAD OR HEART” – which features the brilliant new single, “Human” – is slated for release on March 11th. “HEAD OR HEART”will be available to pre-order at iTunes beginning December 31st.
Perri will celebrate the arrival of “HEAD OR HEART” with a highly anticipated North American headline tour. The dates get underway Friday, April 4th at Denver’s Ogden Theatre and then continue through late May, with highlights including a two night stand at New York City’s famed Irving Plaza on April 16th and 17th , a hometown show at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory April 19th
.“HEAD OR HEART” – which follows the acclaimed singer/songwriter’s breakthrough 2011 debut, “lovestrong” – was recorded over the past year with production from Martin Johnson (Avril Lavigne, Gavin Degraw), Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, One Direction), John Hill (P!nk, Mayer Hawthorne, Santigold), and Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy,Panic! At The Disco). The album was mixed by GRAMMY® Award-winning engineer Manny Marroquin (Kanye West,John Legend, Alicia Keys).
“HUMAN,” the recently released first single from “HEAD OR HEART,” is available now at all digital retailers. Hailed by Billboard as a “delicate alt-pop ballad that should delight supporters of (Perri’s) breakthrough single ‘Jar of Hearts,’” thetrack can be heard now at http://youtu.be/8VFwcNTiwPY. In addition, Perri will perform “HUMAN” on NBC’s TODAY with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford Thursday, December 12th followed by a performance on VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live with Carrie Eagan Friday, December 13th.
