‘Revelator’ Receives GRAMMY Nomination

Two years ago, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi found themselves in an unusual position: both of their solo albums received a GRAMMY nomination for “Best Blues Album.” Now, they are both nominated in that category again, but this time, it’s for their joint effort, Revelator, the debut album from Tedeschi Trucks Band. Huge congratulations to the members of TTB on the nomination: Derek, Susan, Oteil, Kofi, Tyler, JJ, Mike, Mark, Saunders, Maurice, and Kebbi, as well as album collaborators and friends David Ryan Harris, Ryan Shaw, Oliver Wood, John Leventhal, Gary Louris, Alam Khan, Salar Nader, and engineers Bobby Tis, Marty Wall, and producer Jim Scott. Thanks to all on the GRAMMY nomination committee for the consideration. Last but not least, thanks to the fans around the world for the limitless support that made Revelator a success.

Derek Trucks Voted #16 Greatest Guitarist By Rolling Stone

This month’s issue of Rolling Stone features a list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time, as voted by a panel of top guitarists and music writers. Derek Trucks made the list, this time landing at #16, just one slot behind the great Freddy King. Many thanks to all the writers and musicians who chose to include Derek, who once again is the youngest guitarist on the list by a wide margin.
