Straight No Chaser returned to their home state to play Horseshoe Casino, Southern Indiana. The band who was formed in 1996 while attending Indiana University, became successful after receiving over twenty million views on UTube. After signing an album deal with Atlantic Records, They released two Christmas albums, Holiday Spirits(2008) reached #4  on billboards top Holiday album list and and Christmas Cheers (2009) which made it to #6 on the list.

The group played nearly an hour and 30 minutes, mostly from their latest album, WITH A TWIST. This album is their first to step outside of Holiday music. It was only fitting they began with a medley of songs from original Hoosiers, The Jackson 5, “ABC”’ “I Want You Back” and “Billie Jean”. The ten man a-cappella group rotated vocalist and styles of music throughout the evening.  The music ranged from Country, Rock and Pop classics, each performed with an entertaining twist. The highlights included versions of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Under the Bridge,” a cover of The Rolling Stones’ “Miss You” and Coldplay’s “Fix You”.

The encore of “Twelve Days of Christmas” put a crowd pleasing touch on an excellent performance.
