Following a wildly captivating — and completely sold out — North American tour in early 2013, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds return to the U.S. in the summer of 2014 to take care of some unfinished business.
Throughout this jaunt, the band will be bringing their fervent live show to familiar cities as well as municipalities that have yet to be graced (or confronted) with a Bad Seeds live experience.
On November 14th, Nick Cave partnered with the Association of Alternative Newspapers (AAN) for a special invitation-only web press conference. During this conference, journalists from AAN-member publications were able to ask Nick questions about Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds’ upcoming tour, current & past albums and a variety of other subjects. Today, readers of AAN-member publications will receive priority access to a special ticket 24 hour pre-sale on November 19 for the newly announced 2014 dates. Along with the pre-sale, readers are also able to download “The Mercy Seat” and “Mermaids” from the forthcoming Live From KCRW album from altweeklies.com and leoweekly.com.
This tour announcement precedes the release of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Live From KCRW (Bad Seed Ltd). The fourth official live album in the band’s catalog will feature stripped-down songs from the band’s most recent studio album, Push the Sky Away, as well as other tracks from their discography. Live From KCRW will be available November 29th in both CD and double vinyl formats exclusively at Record Store Day stores. The vinyl edition will include bonus tracks “Into My Arms” and “God Is In The House.” A full list of Record Store Day distributors can be found at www.recordstoreday.com/Venues. Live From KCRW will see wide release digitally on December 3. The album will also be available as a digital deluxe bundle with Push the Sky Away.
LINEROCKET PRESENTS 2ND ANNUAL LIFE IN COLOR CONCERT WITH SEBASTIAN INGROSSO & KREWELLA
Legendary DJ/Producer Sebastian Ingrosso and EDM sensation Krewella are set to headline the 2nd annual Life In Color concert at Bader Field in Atlantic City on December 28th, 2013. The doors open at 7PM and tickets are on sale now at www.linerocket.com.
Life in Color is “The World’s Largest Paint Party” and is nationally recognized as a one-of-a-kind concert experience featuring cutting-edge LED production and some of the most high-profile performers in the world.
Sebastian Ingrosso is one of the most prolific musical talents across the globe. As 1/3 of the prestigious DJ trio Swedish House Mafia, Ingrosso has headlined some of the largest music festivals and performed for crowds of over 100,000 people. He is also a world famous music producer, manufacturing numerous #1 songs on Beatport including “Reload” and “Calling (Lose My Mind)”. In addition, he has produced music for some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Kylie Minogue, Usher, and Britney Spears.
In 2012, Krewella burst onto the electronic dance music circuit with their debut video Killin’ It, showcasing their innovative brand of dubstep-infused tunes highlighted by melodic female vocals. They are currently embarking on their international 55-date sold out tour on the heels of their debut album Get Wet, which charted in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 200 in its first week. Krewella recently teamed up with charity organization Dance For Paralysis to help raise money and awareness for people living with paralysis. Founder Thomas E. Smith says, “It is truly an honor to work with Krewella and together we will work towards finding a permanent cure for paralysis”. LineRocket and Dance for Paralysis have plans to bring paralyzed teens from the local hospital to enjoy the show in the front row and to meet the 3 members of Krewella backstage.
In 2013, LineRocket hosted Steve Aoki, Tommy Trash, and Adventure Club on New Year’s Eve at Bader Field. The event sold out in rapid fashion and attracted thousands to the largest heated tent in America. LineRocket CEO Josh Heffler said, “The heated tent, star-studded lineup and top notch production provided attendees with the ideal concert experience. We expect this year’s event to top the success of the last one” The supporting acts for Sebastian Ingrosso and Krewella will be Dyro and Bow n’ Arrow, with more artists to be announced soon.
LINEUP AND ADDITIONAL TICKET ONSALES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON
(Fort Lauderdale, FL) ~ HUKA Entertainment is pleased to announce Early Bird tickets to 2014’s Tortuga Music Festival on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, FL have sold out after going on sale to the public Friday, October 18 at 10:00am EDT.
The rapid sell-out of the Early Bird presale, which was the first public opportunity for fans to purchase general admission, VIP and Super VIP tickets for 2014 festival dates, surpassed the expectations of HUKA Entertainment co-founder and CEO A.J. Niland.
“Our community’s enthusiasm has grown tremendously in the few months since our debut in April of this year,” says Niland. “But I can safely say the pace at which tickets sold today was a tremendous surprise. We’re in awed appreciation of our fans’ support and excitement.”
For fans who weren’t able to participate in the Early Bird presale, Niland advises that additional tickets will be on sale soon.
“The next offering of tickets is not too far away, along with our first lineup announcement,” says Niland. “Anyone interested in details can receive them directly by subscribing to our email newsletter and joining our social communities.”
Fans can sign up for the Tortuga Music Festival newsletter and social networks at www.tortugamusicfestival.com.
Tortuga Music Festival, produced and promoted by HUKA Entertainment, is a two-day music festival on the beach featuring nearly two dozen of the hottest artists in country, rock and roots music. Created together with the Rock the Ocean Foundation, the event serves to celebrate the festival’s ocean side setting while raising awareness of issues impacting the world’s oceans and supporting marine research and conservation.
Niland says 2014’s Tortuga Music Festival lineup will feature a lineup similar to its inaugural year, where over 25,000 festival attendees enjoyed headliners Kenny Chesney and Eric Church along with The Avett Brothers, Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite, Jake Owen, Lynryd Skynyrd, and many more.
“I can’t imagine a better lineup in our first year than the one we had,” says Niland. “But we’re dedicated to making sure our next bill is even more impressive, if that’s possible, and have already confirmed top-caliber artists for 2014.”
Anchored by live music performances across three stages, the centerpiece to Tortuga Music Festival is its Conservation Village, curated by Stacey, where over 20 organizations dedicated to marine research and conservation will provide interactive, educational experiences for festival patrons.
Stacey notes that the Conservation Village will likewise offer premium content in its sophomore outing, after featuring such notables as The Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, Shark Savers, Sea Turtle Oversight Protection and nineteen other exhibits in year one. “Guy Harvey is a rock star in his own right, and it was such a pleasure to have him here in 2013 signing autographs and meeting fans in the village to discuss conservation” says Stacey. “That’s a hard act to follow, so we’re pulling out all the stops this time around.”
“One thing we heard repeatedly this year from both the artists and the fans was how much fun everyone had with their feet in the sand and the sound of the waves blending with the music,” says Niland. “That makes it hard to forget who the true headliner of our event is – the ocean – and what we can do to make sure it returns every year.”

While last year was an amazing year for the Tedeschi Trucks Band, or TTB as their loyal prefer to call them, this year has been another strong showing as well. They have just released their second studio album, Made Up Mind. AllMusic.com remarks that: “Made Up Mind is tight; it maintains the gritty, steamy, Southern heart displayed on Revelator, but the growth in songwriting, arrangement, and production is immeasurable.” Since Revelator had won the Grammy Award for “Best Blues Album” in 2012 the comparison is awesome. Now, with the release of Made Up Mind there isn’t a shred of doubt that Susan Tedeschi, her husband and creative collaborator, Derek Trucks, and their superb bandmates are on to something — something very big. For Derek and Susan, TTB’s strength in numbers — the band presently comprises 10 members — virtually guaranteed that a wide range of influences would steer the music to new, previously unexplored places. That diversity is evident throughout Made Up Mind. “I felt that with the personnel in this band, it was just a matter of time before all of these ideas started leaking out,” says Trucks. “But we had a lot of confidence that it was going to be really good right out of the gate.” Today, as the result of carefully building it from scratch, Tedeschi Trucks Band is nothing less than one big happy family, a traveling roots music circus of sorts, roving from town to town and pulling out all the stops along the way, never knowing just what will be the highlight of tonight’s show or which band member will be the one to shine in the next moment. Each member of TTB is a strong enough force to be a bandleader in his own right, but the chemical reaction that takes place when they all come together results in a mighty sound that’s even greater than the sum of its considerable parts.
Also appearing on this year’s bill for the Festival are: New Orleans’ favorites Galactic; legendary Leon Russell; the great acoustic blues of Hot Tuna with Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady; the incredible jazz bassist Stanley Clarke; The Ringers featuring Jimmy Herring (from Widespread Panic), Wayne Krantz, Michael Landau, Keith Carlock and Etienne Mbappe; New Orleans’ guitarist, singer and songwriter Tab Benoit (Boca date only); guitar virtuoso Bobby Lee Rogers; British blues guitarist and singer Oli Brown (who blew everyone away last year at his FL debut at Wanee Fest); plus a special guest to be announced shortly
With Great Music, Great Craft Beers and Great Food, the Second Annual Sunshine Music & Blues Festival headlined by the Tedeschi Trucks Band comes only to Florida for two dates in 2014, Saturday, January 18 at Mizner Park Amphitheater, Boca Raton in South Florida; and Sunday, January 19 at Vinoy Park, St. Petersburg in the Tampa Bay Area. Early Bird tickets for the all day event go on sale Wednesday, October 2nd at 10AM through Friday, October 4th at 10PM at www.livenation.com. No password is needed. General on sale is scheduled for Monday, October 7th at 10AM at www.livenation.com, all TicketMaster outlets or charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000.

Kid Rock took over Riverbend Music Center as his “$20 Best Night Ever” tour in support of his latest release “Rebel Soul” played to a sold out audience. Rock insisted that all tickets were sold for twenty dollars and even had a Kid Rock food special of four hot dogs and two drinks for $20. The show began with a prayer by Rock from behind the stage curtain. Rock prayed “in thanks for his fans and promised to bring his best to the performance”.’
Aided by his excellent band, Rock mixed songs from all releases during the powerful set. His elaborate stage setting full of screens, various lights and fireworks kept the fans on their feet the entire show. Rock’s strong voice , along with his high energy dancing made for an entertaining evening.
Uncle Kracker and ZZ Top warmed up the audience with strong but short performances. Three bands and a beautiful venue made this show a bargain!

The Black Sabbath tour in support of their new CD “13″ visited the Klipsch Music Center outside Indianapolis Sunday. Ozzy Osbourne voice was surprisingly clear and strong early in the show as he shuffled through the 18 song set. Original members, Tony Iommi and Geezer Bultler are true musicians who created a wall of sound along with Tommy Clufetos on Drums who replaced original , Bill Ward.
Guitarist Iommi and bassist Butler along with powerful Clufetos proved that age is no barrier to heavy metal brilliance by unleashing riff after pounding riff the entire evening.
Osbourne drop his usual amount of F-Bombs and showed that he can still connect with his audience even if his skills have diminished. No one seemed to mind as he constantly asked his fans to ,”Get your F-ing hands in the air”
At one point Osbourne mentioned, “I smell some got weed out there! I would like to join you but my wife would kill me!”
Black Sabbath is still a powerful band with a legendary catalouge of heavy metal classics. It’s still a thrill to see them live!
