Forecastle 2012 begins next Friday

Posted in Entertainment by sceneandheardblog on July 7, 2012
The banks of the Ohio River are calling – The Forecastle Festival is almost here! We’re merely days away from the 10th anniversary of Louisville’s nautically-themed summertime celebration of music, art, and environmental activism taking place at Waterfront Park on July 13 – 15!

The lineup includes fellow Louisvillians and curators of this year’s festival My Morning Jacket along with Bassnectar, Wilco, Girl Talk, Andrew Bird, Sleigh Bells, Atmosphere, Neko Case and so many more! Check out the full lineup at Forecastlefest.com.

Afterparties aboard the historic Belle of Louisville steamboat will keep the river rockin’ long after the last note is played at Waterfront Park. Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s Saturday night performance featuring members of My Morning Jacket is already SOLD OUT, so act quickly if you want to join Paper Diamond and Tanlines for Friday night’s festivities!

Additional kickoff and afterparties will be held at Club 116, providing fans with yet another reason to party into the wee hours of the night with the likes of Dean & Britta, Purity Ring, Emancipator, and Break Science!

Head on over to Forecastlefest.com for details on additional activities including the Louisville Village, Living Art Exhibitions, Kentucky Bourbon Lodge, Sustainable Living Roadshow and so much more!

Weekend, VIP passes and single day tickets are on sale now at Forecastlefest.com.
